In this course we are going to sew a beautiful lace garter belt step by step. You will learn how to take the necessary measurements to draft a basic garter belt pattern, what materials we need to create the pattern, also you will learn how to prepare the pattern for cutting on fabric (how to add seam allowances, how to trace the pattern on tracing paper and add the grainlines). Also you will learn what is the stretch factor of the fabric and how to calculate it (and why we need it), and finally you will learn how to sew an elegant lace garter belt (including how to sew the fold over elastic to the raw edges of the lace), and how to sew on the fabric clasp (we are going to use the common hook&eye closure), I show you the way I do it using a regular presser foot.
Additionally, yo will learn how to add decorations such as a ring on the front of the garter belt and chains and also we consider what tools we need to make these decorations.
To sew such a garter belt from the equipment we need only a sewing machine (not overlock).
