If you’re anything like me or any of the dozens of fashion entrepreneurs I’ve worked with the past 15 years, you likely have been collecting ideas to open your own fashion business. They may keep you up at night, and maybe you’ve been jotting them down in a notebook by your bed. Or maybe you take longer lunch breaks and research shops or online to figure out how to build this thing. Or maybe, you’ve never told anyone. . . but this desire to open up your own fashion business is real. And until you do it, nothing matters.
The fashion industry is no joke. It’s hard work and you have to be ready for any challenge that comes your way. Any top business owner will tell you how critical the development phase is for carrying out a successful launch.
I created Idea to Action as the first course in a series to allow the individual at the very onset of planning their business to sort through all of these ideas. You will get the chance to dump them all out, make sense of them, uncover what niche markets are, narrow in on your target customer and even start to better research your competitors.
There are workbooks, video lessons and resources I’ve amassed as both a Parsons professor in Fashion Marketing, a business owner of my own boutique and wholesale business and a decade worth of consulting with international fashion labels.
Good luck and let’s make this happen!
