Hello Guys, Kanika here your Creative Coach for this amazing Course. Welcome to my little creative world 🙂
Tatting is a technique for handcrafting a particularly durable lace from a series of knots and loops. Tatting can be used to make lace edging as well as doilies, collars, accessories such as earrings and necklaces, and other decorative pieces. The lace is formed by a pattern of rings and chains formed from a series of knots, called double knots or stitches, over a core thread. Gaps can be left between the stitches to form picots, which are used for practical construction as well as decorative effect.
In India Tatting is gaining popularity after Crochet as it is used in Saree Pallu Work. The lace can be worked in the desired length and color combinations. It can be used as a Saree tassel by simply hand-stitching the lace to the edge of the Saree Pallu. The same lace can be designed as a Bracelet, necklace, anklet, or even a Bookmark. Sounds exciting eh !!!!
In this course, I have covered 4 beginner-level designs. The explanation is very detailed and easy to follow. During the course there are tips and tricks shared, so please do not skip any bit.
