Everyone should be held to the same standards as the CEO, in terms of alignment to your purpose, values, and big, hairy, audacious goal. And the CEO needs to be held to the same standard as everyone else. In a lot of companies, frontline staff are the only ones getting reviewed, and it’s a one- way street. That’s not fair. If your company is truly aligned and pulling in the same direction, then everyone must be accountable to everyone else.
