Guitar Fundamentals Starting From Zero

Welcome to this beginner’s guitar fundamentals course. This course is designed for all those that have always wanted to learn to play guitar and are starting from zero. The objective is that at the end of this course you can accompany yourself in songs and play comfortably with melodies different genres: pop, rock, ballads, Latin music, country and even hip hop.

In this course you’ll notice playing the guitar isn’t as difficult as it seems. In my experience of 10+ years in music education – I’ve learned how to tackle the most comfortable way in learning through exercises of progressive difficulty that will wake up your fingers in musical intuición.

This course is structured principally in 6 chapters and each chapter is divided into 3 sections,

1. Technique

2. Chords

3. Repertoire

Technique

This section on technique is to wake up your fingers and get them accustomed to necessary positions to execute the guitar with the correct use of technique. Here you will find exercises of short duration with specific objectives that will help prepare you for the upcoming sections and approach them comfortably.

Chords

The chords section is about the function of the guitar as an accompaniment instrument. With the previous technical exercises, you will be capable of realizing the positions and movements that permit you playing chords to some of your favorite songs.

Repertoire

The repertoire section is linked to the subject of technique but this time in a more musical context. We will play background music and melodies that will help us explore technical concepts already seen in a musical manner.

In conclusion to this course I will show you how to find your favorite songs in different websites and I will give you a list of popular songs of different eras that you will be able to play with the chords you will learn during this course. This course is a series of videos accompanied with PDF files and guiding images. All you will need is a guitar and a desire to learn.
