This short course explores the application of Generative Artificial Intelligence in education. I use Bloom’s taxonomy to frame the course and suggest that we’re not doomed as educators. Our students won’t just use the tool to cheat. I suggest we all think way beyond this singular issue. Let’s use our existing models for how we teach and learn to leverage this new technology. The course progresses from basic to advanced uses of AI (mostly with ChatGPT). In the advanced sections, I demonstrate the cutting-edge intersection of AI and low-code development, with a specific focus on the integration of ChatGPT into GlideApps. This part demonstrates how ChatGPT can be seamlessly incorporated into GlideApps, a low-code application development platform. I walk you through GlideApps, illustrating how ChatGPT can enhance the functionality and user experience of software created on GlideApps. This integration exemplifies the synergy between AI technology and low-code platforms, making sophisticated app development more accessible and efficient. It highlights the potential of combining ChatGPT’s AI capabilities with the simplicity and flexibility of low-code solutions, heralding a new era of app development. As a teacher, have you dreamed of brining your own software solutions to life? Try it out – you might be surprised by what you can build.
