Have you ever wanted to test your Power BI, Power Query and DAX skills? Have you ever wanted to test the skills of a candidate you or your team is looking to hire? Or perhaps you are looking to change employment and you want to have a sample project to show your prospective new employer what you can do.
This course allows you to do just that. It has three main purposes. One of them is to allow you to test your Power BI, Power Query and DAX skills. Another is to allow you to show prospective employers your skills with Power Query, DAX and Power BI. So many times when you are interviewing for a position the prospective employer wants to see a sample of your work and a demonstration of your skills. This course, from a well established DAX and Power BI instructor, allows you to provide this. A third purpose is to provide a test to a prospective employee which will allow you to determine a candidates DAX skills and Power BI / Query visualization and data analysis skills.
This course consists of a roughly 30 skills tests based upon a very realistic retail sales semantic model (Contoso DW). DAX problems / challenges, Power BI and Power Query skills tests are presented and you are asked to answer them to test your knowledge and experience. Each will have a comprehensive answer provided. In addition to this, you will be asked to perform some data analysis using Power BI which will test your knowledge of which visuals to use to solve a particular problem, and how to use them. You will also be asked to trouble shoot some common problems any Power BI developer is likely to encounter in their work using Power BI.
The course completes with a capstone project where you design a data model and create an executive business report on sample sales data. This can be used to show off your modeling and UI design skills or test the skills of that hiring candidate. If the work you do on the project is good enough, it will be showcased in this course and potentially on LinkedIn.
If you can pass this skills test you will be in an excellent position to be hired for that next job, or achieve that desired promotion. Likewise, this course will be an excellent way to test a candidates comprehensive DAX / Power BI / Query skills before extending that offer.
There is no other course on Udemy or anywhere that will test your skills or that potential candidate the way this course will.
