The course will provide you with practical knowledge to use WPF technology to it’s full extent. Starting with more fundamental concepts such as window handling, navigation and project setup you will learn all that you need to know about the most commonly used components of the user interface (Buttons, sliders, check boxes and more), as well as events associated with those elements. With that, you will also learn how to access various events for your external devices – mouse and keyboard, meaning you will be able to detect mouse movement and all kinds of other user interactions.
Besides the more fundamental topics, the course also includes topics such as handling of files (pick and save files), dealing with application lifecycle events (doing something when window loads or gets shut down), fundamentals of MVVM (General theory, bindings, commands, file set up and more). The course will also include instructions on handling more advanced WPF components such as media players and canvas for drawing and displaying more complex graphical objects.
In the end of this course, you will find a short test and an assignment, this will ensure that you have went through the course thoroughly and you are able to build your first WPF application.
