CIPS L4M3 – COMMERCIAL CONTRACTING

Hello students,

This course is based on the CIPS Level 4 module – Commercial Contracting. It is meant for those who want to familiarize themselves with knowledge on how to address CIPS Level 4 Diploma examination questions effectively.

The course consists of two practice tests (a total of 90 questions) that students should take in preparation for the final examination of this CIPS level 4 module. It helps provide a clear insight of what to expect in a real final examination.

Each practice test consist of 45 multiple choice questions for the candidates to attempt, which upon completion, the student’s answers will be automatically scored to determine whether or not they have the potential to pass the real examination. The following predermined score is used as in the real final examination:

• 70% – 100% (Pass)

• 0% – 69% (Fail)

At the end of the test, the student’s can review their answers. Descriptive notes are provided for in every question allowing students to understand why their particular answer is right or wrong.

Upon completion of this course, the student’s should have a clear understanding of the key features and components of contractual agreements and should be in a position to understand what it takes to form and implement a valid contractual agreement with a supplier.

This course will provide students with an insight and understand of the following:

• Different documentation that comprise a commercial contract

• Legal issues that relate to the formation of contractual agreements

• Different types of contractual agreements that can be formed with suppliers

• The use of specifications and key performance indicators in contracts

• Key clauses that are included in formal contracts with suppliers.
