GLASS ART ON CANVAS
Glass art on Canvas is a course that I have created from my personal experiment on applying pieces of a broken vase on my painting. A friend had presented a beautiful glass vase on my birthday. My new Kitten named Kaali dashed into it and broke it. I was a bit upset but decided to save the pieces not knowing what I was going to use them for.
I stated to my husband that “I did not want to throw the glass in recycling. Someday, I will create something with the broken pieces.” In a few months, a 150 year old Black Walnut tree had to be chopped off in our yard. I decided to paint the Walnut tree and create the leaves with the broken glass pieces that I had saved. Since then, I try and recycle different colored and shaped glass bottles, plates, bowls, anything I can find that can be recycled and applied to my art.
This course is a lot of fun. It will have your creative juices flow and your imagination take charge to create unique art pieces. Safety steps must be followed with common sense and caution. This course will teach students to break, store, and apply glass to acrylic painting.
Paintings can be used as gifts or to decorate any space in a home or office.
