This course focuses on the practical usage of SPH to produce fluid flow animation of wave through rocks on the beach using Blender. Unlike traditional animation where each frame is drawn, modern animation uses particle trajectory simulation using fluid dynamic software. This method, furthermore, can be combined with visual animation software called Blender to create a more realistic view of wave-structure interaction.
In summary, in the fluid simulation, the fluid is represented using particles with physical characteristics attached to it. Each particle position is then calculates at each time step. The information of these particles’ position is then used by Blender to create the animation.
Upon the completion of this course, the learner is expected to be able to download and install all of the free-to-use software, run the simulation, and animate the flow using Blender.
In this course you will be able to:
1. edit the geometry model of your simulation
2. set up the correct simulation parameters value
3. run an SPH simulation
4. View the velocity flow field using Paraview
5. render a more realistic view of the wave-structure interaction using blender
