For those just getting in to graphics design, here are some quick pointers:

Photoshop is a pixel editing software. Illustrator is a vector editing software. And InDesign is a layout one. A well-rounded graphic designer seeks knowledge in all three areas.

Treat Photoshop as but a tool. There are many other tools, some software and some online. Make effective use of all tools at your disposal. At the beginning, there is no right or wrong. There is only what you like to do. The ‘rights’ or ‘wrongs’ will come in at a much later stage, no worries.

Learning tools and functionality is the technical requirement. Getting inspiration, ideas and harnessing creativity is the other half of it. To do that, research to understand general trends, industry trends, history of art, how human psychology perceive art, look at online portfolios and try to develop a signature style of your own.

Do not take criticism personally. When receiving feedback, detach yourself from the work. 3rd person view, consider all angles. Allow comments to elevate, and not distress

Sorry that I have stopped making videos here in Udemy. It didn’t work out for me. And now other priorities have taken over entirely. But here is everything done so far given freely.
