Introduction to Self-Healing Through Sound
Welcome to the course! My name is Sally Collins and I’m a qualified Sound Therapist. I’m excited to be able to share some of my experience with you and help you discover the healing power of your own voice.
Throughout the course we will be exploring using our voice and learning how the sounds and vibrations we can produce can be used to enable healing whilst raising our own vibrations.
Your voice is your own personal instrument and it is unique to you. Encoded with your entire life experience as well as your intentions and your aspirations for the future.
Our bodies all work and vibrate on a number of different frequencies and finding the right frequency for you can be just the start of your healing journey and the reclamation of your own personal empowerment.
Due to the way our brains process sound, low pitches help us to relax the nervous system and gives our body a kind of deep internal massage with the resulting vibrations going beyond relaxation to also bring about healing as well as boosting our immune systems. Studies have shown that immunoglobulin A (an antibody), significantly increased after a short voice using session which all increases our well-being.
With mindfulness being so popular, many people are beginning to discover that not only does our voice enable us to communicate with others, it can also be a tool that will help us to practice mindfulness whilst releasing muscle tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back, all of which can vastly improve how we deal with stress and anxiety.
Many people who work with the voice believe that it is the window to the soul. Indigenous tribes have used sound and voice for healing and spiritual connection since time began. They understood how the voice can clear blockages, rebalance and harmonise your body on all levels of your being, bringing about transformative healing and deep spiritual connection to the Higher Self.
Today begins your own personal journey discover the power your own unique Voice has and how you can use this for personal healing.
During this course we will discover the power of chanting the mantra OM as well as looking at the power of a simple HUM and the effects this has on our body as we direct this unique sound and vibration to different areas of our body.
Finally, we will be looking at Chakra Turning using the Seed Sounds of the Chakras to bring about balance and harmony. we will also look at what is sound healing and how it affects us.
