In this course the student will learn about the metric calculation and how the 5 variables are used and the default the K values that are used by default. K1 and K3 are used for metric calculation by EIGRP. The author will use lab examples in calculating the eigrp metric calculation as part of the traffic engineering.

Dead timer- The interval in which the neighbor will be declared dead if it is not able to send the hello packet. It is 15 seconds by default.
