Here are two matching Kimono I made for my darling nieces from an Indian saree, they were 3 and 4 years old at the time. They were so excited about the pink and gold shiny brocade one of them said “ooooh it’s like a princess!”
The pattern is so simple. It’s very easy to resize and apply to different fabrics.
I devised this pattern from my research into the Japanese Kimono itself and how it is traditionally made. You will make a Kimono or Yukata using as much of the traditional process as we can and end up with a garment very close to what you would find in Japan.
