The Spanish language doesn’t have to be difficult, the problem is that learning any language is time-consuming.

After teaching over 1000 students in one-on-one Spanish lessons we came to the conclusion that time is the determining factor. Tons of people quit after a while because they don’t see results as fast as they would like but the reality is that learning Spanish is impossible by only spending 30 minutes per week practicing. We are sorry but it is the truth.

So what is our proposal?

And this is all I will need to speak Spanish fluently?

Nope. We cover lots of key points you will need to master and we firmly believe that you need to be taught since the beginning, but you will still need to practice with other resources such as Duolingo, Memrise or Quizlet. Specially vocabulary!

But, did you notice that we are mentioning only free and fun resources, right? We are not trying to invent the wheel here. But trying to give you a different approach to Spanish grammar.

Spanish and English have lots of similarities but also plenty of differences. And when you practice Spanish without paying attention to these topics you end up saying things like this when someone asks you “¿cómo estás?” (how are you):

“Estoy muy bueno” (I’m really hot… hot as “attractive”) instead of “estoy muy bien” (I’m very well)

Of course, we will understand, but do you really want to spend hours practicing a language and end up making these mistakes?

What will students learn in your course?

In this Spanish course for beginners, you will learn to talk about yourself, numbers, date and time, talk about family and some grammar key points such as the verb SER.

We present to you short curated lessons that you can practice every day without consuming your free time.

The lessons have audio in Spanish and subtitles in English because we want you to start getting used to the sounds of the Spanish language. Commonly, students reach a point in which they can speak, read but they don’t understand us because we talk too fast!

So you better start getting ready for this since the first moment. That way in the future, it will be way easier.

We also created practices for almost every lesson, articles to get in-depth about related topics and the transcriptions of the video in English and Spanish so you can use them to improve your listening and reading skills while really integrating what you learned on the lecture…

Are there any course requirements or prerequisites?

• Enough motivation to get you started. Spanish is a really fun language to learn!

• Determination to spend between 10-30 minutes per day practicing. For sure there are many things to learn.

• Discipline to memorizing the verb tenses. In Spanish, we have lots!

• Good sense of humor because Spanish can be weird! Did you know that sometimes we speak backwards?

• Just wanting to learn Spanish!

Who are your target students?

Anyone who is starting to learn Spanish.

And especially anyone who already tried to approach to Spanish but feels that something is not right, that maybe wasn’t the right way. And we say “especially” since it is what happened to most English speakers at some point.

Students who want to learn Spanish but are realistic about their expectations. You won’t learn a language in a day, you can’t learn Spanish while sleeping and for sure you won’t be speaking Spanish any time soon if you don’t practice enough.

And if you are at an intermediate level, this is not the right course for you but we promise we are working hard to deliver more advanced courses during this year.

Can I take my courses with me wherever I go?

Definitely! If you have an internet connection, courses on Udemy are available on any device at any time. If you don’t have an internet connection, some instructors also let their students download course lectures. That’s up to the instructor though, so make sure you get on their good side!
