Meme Boham is an early years Montessori teacher. She has worked in the classroom and home for over 13 years. She has worked with hundreds of children in her career as an educator and seen them go through different phases and stages.
Her goal is to make learning fun and enjoyable for young children and to educate parents and teachers on the best ways to do this.
Over the last 13 plus years, I have observed young children and studied different techniques and methods to respond to them. From research and observation, I have been able to support children in different areas from behaviour to their learning and I hope some of the knowledge shared will help parents and teachers on their individual journeys.
As a pre-school teacher working in a nursery, I observed how the children were loosing their natural love for learning. The excitement that they used to get about learning new things was beginning to fade away and so I started to think up a solution.
The first thing that occurred to me was to change my perspective on learning and also change my approach.
In this short course, I am going to discuss how i changed my perspective on learning subjects like math, literacy, science, art, and geography. I had to first understand why they were important to the children and how to make it relatable and enjoyable. How to get young children to not see it as this boring abstract things that they are forced to learn, but for them to see learning as an opportunity to explore and understand their world.
As soon as I was able to do this, I presented the same subjects to the children and their response to learning changed.
This course is beneficial for both parents of young children and teachers of young children. You can put your own spin on it and see the results you get in your home and classrooms.
