This is an introductory course which goes over the steps necessary to launch a successful business. While not every business succeeds, it is important to take the necessary steps to give your business the greatest chance of survival.
In this course we will begin by evaluating the fundamental of any business, its offering. Then we will look at whether or not an idea can be reasonably turned into a viable business. Next we will examine the need for differentiation of your business. Following we will seek to develop a target market and a location for that market by discussing various research sources. Next will be a focus on finances, exploring various costs and revenue streams to develop a break even point. After this we will examine the components necessary for a business plan and discuss some of the various methods of funding your startup. finances, business plan and opening strategy. Finally, we will touch on cash reserves as well as an exit strategy.
Overall at the end of this course the student should know the core steps necessary to start their own business.
